BuildAR is now being rebranded as Envisage!

The BuildAR product range is now being rebranded and relaunched under a new name Envisage. This new software is 80% cheaper than the original BuildAR software, while retaining all the original features. We are also moving to our new website:https://envisage-ar.com.

Envisage – the main product of Envisage AR Limited., is the easiest tool for building desktop Augmented Reality experiences. It’s an ideal tool for education, marketing, architecture and many other areas. No programming experience is required to use the software. Envisage Standard (marker-based tracking) USD$19.95

BuildAR Mac is ready for download

BuildAR Mac Pro and BuildAR Mac Viewer is ready for download.

This version is free for all current BuildAR Pro customers for a limited time. This event ends at the end of October 2011. The current BuildAR Pro users can use their registration key to unlock the full functionality. Image-based tracking is not available for this version.

Minimal Requirements:
• Mac OS X 10.4 or later
• Administrator’s rights for installation, Internet connection for activation
• Intel processor only (PowerPC not supported)
• 1 GB RAM

• Screen resolution 1024 x 768

BuildAR Mac version video teaser

The HIT Lab NZ has produced a Mac version of its popular BuildAR software. This video shows the software running and demonstrates some of the features. The software will be available soon.

BuildAR Mac is marker-based tracking only. Image-based tracking will be ready by next year.

BuildAR Pro scene loading fault in Windows 7 64 bit and Vista

We found some issues with loading BuildAR scenes on Windows 7 (64bit) and Vista. BuildAR crashes on loading scenes with above mentioned OS systems. BuildAR Mac version delayed

The development in BuildAR Mac version is taking more time than we expected.
New release date is 15 August 2011. The BuildAR Mac version will be for Marker based tracking only.
We are planning to put the software on Apple store so that it can reach more users around the world.

HD web camera and BuildAR performance

We’ve made the list of web cameras we’ve tried with BuildAR. We found out that according to the camera specification, we get different resolution and frame rates. We’ll update this list whenever we have a chance to try different web cams. You can adjust web-cam frame rates and the resolution in BuildAR software.

Feature upgrade – New release date “8 June”

Feature upgrade news – release date delay to 8 June.

We’ve been working on feature upgrade for BuildAR Pro 2.
We are trying to make BuildAR Pro easy to distribute your AR scene.

The editor will have:
- Animation loop control : You can time the animation.
- Automatically created shortcut to launch Viewer in full screen with AR scene.

for example:
When you save AR scene as .scn file, BuildAR will automatically create a shortcut to load AR scene with launching the viewer.

This upgrade is free to download for all BuildAR Pro customers.
To be able to provide a quality product, we decided to test more bugs before we release.
Currently the release date has been reset on the 8th of June.
